Online selling sure can be a challenge!

It's a slow Saturday night and I'm sitting here thinking. Online selling sure can be a challenge! What is the best way to grow a online business? Do you use the shotgun approach and list a few items each on many venues or do you concentrate on just a couple venues and list many items? I wish there was a simple answer. I think the best way to look at it is to first decide who and where your buyer is. Then present those buyers with your product and the best customer service you can. You have to do things different than your competition and set higher standards than them. Think like your buyer and ask yourself. What sets this seller apart from other sellers? Good communication, fast shipping, good selection, competitive pricing or whatever it takes. Try not to loose focus on your goals or you will get dragged down and spin your wheels. I hope these few thoughts will empower you to start thinking about making things better for yourself. Don't give up and have a great day!

Do you recycle?

Do you recycle? How many people in your neighborhood recycle? My answer to these questions is yes I do and not many in my neighborhood. We are a through away society. Think about all the stuff that you have thrown away in your life time. I admit that I don't recycle everything but I do at least fill a recycling tub every week for my local recycling service. Most people in my area don't even do that. I also try to use recycled packing materials to ship items. Just my rant for the day. Please participate in recycling. Our grandchildren will benefit. Thanks and have a great day.

Happy Easter to all:

Happy Easter to all! Easter, Chocolate Day, Bunny Day or whatever you chose to call it. Today is also My birthday, I am 55 today (Double Nickle). Today reminds me of a photo that has haunted me all of my life. Back on my 1st birthday my mother dressed me up in a BUNNY suite for Easter and to this day I cringe whenever anyone mentions it. It also reminds me of my Mom and that's worth more than anything. Have a great day.

I'm looking for a full time job!

My posting today is of a personal matter. I'm one of the unfortunate one's that is unemployed because of the bad economy. My day job has been in manufacturing but I have been selling online for the last nine years. I also live in SW lower Michigan which makes it almost impossible to find work in manufacturing. I would like to move away from manufacturing and find a full time job with a fellow online seller. If you or someone you know from my area, interested in taking on any help? Please contact me at motorheadbooks@btc-bci.com Thanks and have a great day.

Promote Your Selling Venues.

Promote your multiple selling venues on http://www.everyplaceisell.com/ and http://www.plumdrop.com/ . Both are free and can drive visits to your store, booth or other venue. I've used them and have seen increased traffic on my sites. Thanks and have a great day.

Help us from ourselves!

The world is falling apart and can be overwhelming. Maybe one by one we could make things better for each other. Do a good deed for a friend or neighbor. Make a donation to a local charity or food bank. Don't rely on our government to fix everything. Make time for your family and friends. Live within or below your means. Recycle your unwanted items. Support local and online small businesses. Try not to get sucked into gossip and negative news. Think outside the box. Don't get taken by scams and pie in the sky deals that only steal your hard earned money. I'm not saying do all of these things, but just one of these ideas can make a difference. These are just some of my opinions and if you disagree that's OK. Our future is in each others hands. Good luck an have a better day.
